The one where I discuss bruises.

Family Week at my house is over, and I am very excited about it. But I have to leave for class in an hour and I am not very excited about that.

There's something quite satisfying about being sore from a fun day. Yesterday I dressed up like a pig for a skit, jumped on moonbounces and almost got punched in the mouth by this guy. (by accident, but I still have a bruise on my chin.) And because of all my muscles hurt and I have bruises on my chin, my ass and my hip. But I still feel happy, y'know? I'm not cranky about it because I earned those bruises doing something fun. I'm satisfied with the joy I had yesterday. If I had gotten these bruises by just tripping down the steps I doubt I would have the same outlook about them.I guess I take the rainclouds with every garden. The bigger the garden is, the smaller the raincloud seems.
There is something about earned bruises. they give you bragging rights. If I go play football and have a bruise, I have bragging rights. It's a mark of honor. A battle wound. Of course, as many bruises as I have, I can rarely distinguish where I got each one. But I love getting bruises because I was doing something tough. It makes me feel like a hoss.
